Individually
hand-thrown and signed, smoke fired vessels are raku fired. The serendipitous
nature of smoke firing gives a smoked or blush effect to the surface of the
vessel. Some will be comletely black while others will have hints of white,
salmon or orange. Lids are made from fabricated copper. Patinas in green or
brown tones are created by applying various chemicals to the heated copper
surface.
